Firm’s Make an Impact Foundation Event Engages Clients and Community Non-Profits

Boatsman Gillmore Wagner is celebrating its first year anniversary and a year of living up to its mantra: “to make an impact” for its clientele and the community. Created a year ago through the merger of two local CPA practices, Boatsman Gillmore and Wagner Noble, The firm has expanded its business and engaged clients and contacts in a range of projects including the firm’s Make an Impact Foundation.

“The past year has been one of hard work and integrating different styles and strengths. More importantly, it has been one of doing what we enjoy most- digging in with our clients and worthy community causes,’” said Dale Gillmore, founding partner of the firm. “We are fortunate to serve a variety of clients in a growing region, and with this we think it is essential that we give back to the community we are a part.”

While a smaller firm relative to major regional and national practices, Boatsman Gillmore Wagner donated more than $30,000 to its Make an Impact Foundation and annual grants to local non-profits addressing the needs of under privileged children including The Allegro Foundation, Beds for Kids, and Little Hedgepeth Academy. The firm celebrated the gifts at an October 17th event held at All American Pub, an event that saw Gillmore and Adam Boatsman make good on a promise to sing on stage. The little rehearsed act was followed by appearances of Pat Farmer of Allegro Foundation, Daniel Fogarty of Beds for Kids, and Frederick Hedgepeth and LaShawna Thompson of Little Hedgepeth Academy – just a few of the “talented” attendees at the event who seized the opportunity to take to the stage.
