BGW CPA, PLLC was pleased to find its name among top accounting firms in the Charlotte area, thanks to inclusion in Charlotte Business Journal’s weekly industry list. Each week, the Business Journal researches and produces an industry list, ranking Charlotte’s top companies in a particular business category. Last week, the Charlotte Business Journal listed the area’s largest accounting firms, ranked by number of local professional staff. BGW CPA, PLLC took the No. 14 spot on the list of Charlotte’s top 25 firms.
“We’re really excited about our placement,” says firm co-founder Adam Boatsman. “The companies at the very top are the ‘Big 4’ firms -- huge, multinational companies with headquarters in the Northeast or even overseas. We seek a more hands-on, localized approach for our clients. Among mid-sized firms in the area, we placed quite well. And we’re still growing!”
New York based Deloitte topped the list with 651 professionals (150 licensed CPAs) in its local office. Ernst & Young took the No. 2 spot with 649 professionals (162 licensed CPAs). PricewaterhouseCoopers is No. 3 with 582 professionals (299 licensed CPAs). Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers are based in New York City, while Ernst & Young is headquartered in London.
Currently, BGW CPA, PLLC boasts 37 professionals with 16 licensed CPAs on staff. It is based in Charlotte, NC in the historic South End neighborhood.
