Tax season for individual tax return filers will officially start on Jan. 27, 2020, when the IRS will begin accepting and processing returns for tax year 2019.
The IRS set the January 27th opening date to ensure the security and readiness of key tax processing systems and to address the potential impact of recent tax legislation on 2019 tax returns.
The deadline to file 2019 tax returns and pay any tax owed is April 15, 2020.
Quarterly estimated income tax payments for corporations are due on the following dates:
• First quarter: April 15
• Second quarter: June 15
• Third quarter: September 15
• Fourth quarter: December 15
