It’s not uncommon to hear stories of people who have overcome hardship. What is rare is to find someone who has turned that hardship into a personal mission to make sure no one else ever has to experience it. Ty Harmon is that rare find.

Born to a single mother & raised mostly by his grandparents, Ty’s childhood was ravaged by housing instability, & his mother passed away never having been able to afford a home. Building affordable housing became his life work.

Today, Ty’s company, Harmon Construction Services, LLC, is focused on building lower-cost homes in Charlotte alongside school and community projects that ultimately serve neighborhoods.
